“ Give me an educated mother , I shall give you an educated nation”.: Adventure Camp for Differently abled children at Jaychandi Hills, Purulia

The Present Scenario

It is a matter of great concern that the maximum parents of Indian Rural Area prepare of getting married of their daughters at their immature age of 10 to 15. Naturally, after one or two years these immature mothers give birth of immature children. As a result, both the mother and the children are victimized.
The real tragedy comes at the life of a girl child. Being undesired, she is unwelcome at her family. She is neglected. She spends a friendless, helpless and a scornful life. Education is not meant for her. The next generation comes from her womb in the 'natural phenomena of merry go round'. This is the ultimate fate of the avarage Indian Rural girls. The result is - Lack of Education & Lack of Health Care.

The Birth of SGA

In the year of 1991 Mr. Hacker, a renowned German Doctor and Social worker and SARI, an Organization of France comes to help SHIS for Girl Child Education Project. From here, SHIS starts the project with the girl child students who are unable to continue their education for their poor Socio- Economic condition of their family. Till then approximately 1300 girls used to read in the nearby different schools of this locality with this help. They were included in SHIS FAMILY, only because of the Innovative Minds & of Education Friendly attitude of SHIS FAMILY Mother, Hon’ble President of SHIS, Sabitri Pal & of the Lifetime Devotee for the Social Welfare of the Under- Privileged, Hon’ble Director cum Secretary of SHIS, M. A. Wohab.

Female Education Program (FEDN) started with some Girl Students of the nearby areas. Since 1994, till today many students came & SHIS included them in their project. Approximate numbers of the students are around 1300. A few of them have passed School Final Exam and some of them have finished their Graduation (even some of them have got Govt Job also!). Yet the mission is not fulfilled. In this circumstances SHIS GIRLS' ACADEMY, (A Secondary School for the Under Privileged Girl Child) takes its Birth. The Dream comes true. Here, a lot of blossoming flowers like innocent Under – Privileged girls get shade, water and light of Education. They start to dream with the new hope of new life. The spiritual attempts of these two living angels, Sabitri Pal & Mr. Wohab still on the way to make reach them to the ultimate goal.

After that, KOPION, a Pioneer of Overseas NGOs had extended their kind helping hands towards us.
